The important thought is achieved by the course that the storyteller walks through the t cobblers last dreaming or memory the fury she used to feel when she was with her lover. The eminence of the metrical paper shifts in motley places. The poem starts in a garden setting and that conveys a pacify tone. Then it shifts to a befitting tone in the rest of the poem. The strategies the author uses to achieve his main idea and tone are her imagery and repetition. The imagery of the lady friend fig uped in a garment contributes to the main idea because it shows how she dreamed of marrying the love of her life. The repetition of the phrase “Up and crush” and “In my garment” relate to the both the desirable and calm t one, because the phrase portrays some phase of peace and the desire of going back in time to relive her most curious moments.

Amy Lowell’s desirable tone paints the picture of what a representative women dreams of with examples like, “I would drive To lead him in a maze for my heavy-booted lover”(lines 49-50) and “In a month he would obtain been my husband”(line 84). This poem talks about a women that walks in a garden path with a “brocade gown”, thinking of her lover. or so of the thing she thinks are memories or dreams she had. The gown she is wearing is proba bly a wedding dress and that implies that sh! e was going to get marital but her boyfriend died in the battle field. She shows some kind of longing of her boyfriend’s passion. She wanted to feel love and desired .
